False reporting of NON-EMERGENCY calls responded will result in a $25.00 fee
EMERGENCY GUIDELINES: (Monday through Friday 5:00 pm - 8:30 am and on weekends and holidays):
- Gas leaks either inside or outside of the unit (smell or sound)
- Smoke detectors (Carbon dioxide check)
- Elevator not working or individuals trapped in the elevator
- Severe storm damage
- All fires
- Air conditioning - M. S. Hayworth Apartments June 1st through September 15th
- Heating failures (response within the hour if not on an emergency October 15th through May 15th & temperatures are less than 50 degrees)
- Clogged sewer mains (if the sewer backs up in the tub or overflows from the commode to the floor) Clogged commodes are reported between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, or extended holidays when Rocky Mount Housing Authority will not be open the next day. No other calls pertaining to stop-up will be responded to after these hours with the exception of mainline stop ups
- Broken water pipes either inside or outside the unit (not draining)
- Hot water heaters (burst or leaking)
- Electrical shortages (if smoke is prevalent)
- Refrigerators (if not keeping food)
- Lockouts (Check identification with Lead Tech if needed)
- Broken out glass in doors and windows
